So your yacht is in Florida or on the lower Atlantic Coast and your not sure if you want to leave it there for another Hurricane season? Is it time to move your boat to the Caribbean, or the Gulf Coast? You do not have the time nor the inclination for an extended open water sail? I have been sailing keelboats and catamarans in the Gulf of Mexico since 1990. If you need assistance in delivering your vessel, sail or power, to a new port, give us an opportunity to bid on the transport.
We are 2, USCG licensed Masters, (Captains), with a wide variety of experience. We have made multiple Gulf crossings, most of the Texas ports and made many ports in the caribbean in a variety of vessels, and at various times of the year. Most yacht deliveries require an additional crew member. Terms are simple and reasonable, but the actual cost is dependent on a variety of factors; type of boat, selected route, cruising speed, etc. We try to avoid the GIWW since traveling it at night, is at best, very hazardous to small craft. We will only travel the ditch during the daylight hours or when weather dictates. An open water delivery is usually the safest route for boat and crew.
We are willing to tackle the difficult sails. The rate schedule is simple. My day rate is $250 for boats 41' and under. I pay a crew member an additional $100 per day if its an extended sail. Many times I can locate crew that will volunteer to go for the experience. In addition to the day rates, associated expenses i.e. travel, food, insurance, slips etc are the responsibility of the owner.
